Hinged ventilated facades according to the Craban system

Building exteriors can be made more aesthetically pleasing and functional with the help of hinged ventilated facades, which are a contemporary and effective solution. Renowned for its creative methodology, the Craban system places equal emphasis on functional advantages and elegant architecture. In contrast to conventional facades that frequently necessitate substantial upkeep, hinged ventilated facades, such as those constructed by Craban, combine cutting-edge technology with long-lasting materials to guarantee sustainability and longevity.

The Craban system places a strong focus on ventilation and temperature control, which is one of its main characteristics. These systems allow natural airflow by establishing a tiny air gap between the building structure and the facade panels. This lowers the possibility of mold growth and structural damage in addition to aiding with temperature regulation inside. Due to these design considerations, hinged ventilated facades are perfect for a variety of climates, including dry, arid landscapes and humid coastal regions.

In addition to their practical benefits, Craban’s hinged ventilated facades are praised for their artistic versatility. The flexibility these systems provide, enabling personalized configurations that enhance the project’s overall architectural vision, is highly valued by architects and designers. The Craban system offers an adaptable canvas for creative expression, regardless of whether the building’s purpose is to blend aesthetics and functionality in a commercial structure or to achieve a sleek, modern appearance for a residential building.

Moreover, the Craban philosophy is based on sustainability. Their hinged ventilated facades are made of materials that are often selected for their environmentally friendly qualities, which encourage energy efficiency and lessen the impact on the environment. This dedication to sustainability raises the long-term value and appeal of properties with Craban systems in addition to being in line with worldwide trends toward green building practices.

For an approximate calculation, you can use the following scheme:

It is assumed that size A is 500 mm and size B is 800 mm.

This layout is applied to both vertical and horizontal panels.

Depending on the size of the facade, 3 to 6 brackets for 1 m2 and 2-2.5 linear meters of fastener will be used.

For instance, the estimated number of brackets for a 3×6 m facade per 1 m2 is 3.7 pieces, the fastener profile is 2.4 m/p, and for a 6×12 m facade, it is 3.2 pieces. and 2.2 m/p.

The components required for window and other opening decoration as well as connecting bar installation must be considered.

You require a profile for windows that is equal to the total of their perimeters. Its length divided by 500 meters will give us the number of extra brackets.

At the connecting bar installation location, two VSTOK fasteners are installed. Consequently, an extra fastener profile with a length equal to the connection must be added at the locations where the rows of panels connect.

For buildings that have been rebuilt, the design assignment should also assess the building’s exterior walls, determining the condition of the facades, conducting additional tests to determine how easily the adopted dowels can be pulled out of the wall, and conducting a geodetic survey of the surface surfaces to ascertain how much each section deviates from the vertical plane.

Hinged ventilated facades—such as the Craban system—provide a contemporary and effective way to improve a building’s energy efficiency and visual appeal. These systems enhance thermal regulation, lessen the accumulation of moisture, and increase the longevity of the building envelope by permitting air movement between the facade and the insulation layer. Reputed for its dependability and adaptability, the Craban system offers architects and homeowners a customizable method of designing facades that strike a balance between practicality and aesthetic appeal. This article highlights the importance of hinged ventilated facades in modern building practices and sustainable architecture by examining their main advantages and important factors while utilizing the Craban system.

Insulation and installation of fasteners

Insulation is installed in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. The manufacturer’s recommended fastener, such as a plastic plastic anchor, should be used to secure the insulation plates. Cuts are made where the brackets pass through the insulation in the insulation plate.

A windproof membrane that keeps the insulation from weathering is used to protect it when needed. When panels are installed vertically, the fastener is positioned horizontally; when panels are installed horizontally, it is positioned vertically. There are two points where the mounting profile is fastened to the bracket. Metal is fastened with steel rivets or metal-cutting screws.

Facade materials include fiber cement panels, wall cornfields, steel cassettes, folding paintings, and metal siding. If additional components are not needed in accordance with the work project and the manufacturer’s recommendations, facade material can be mounted directly to fasteners.

Installation of ventilated facades of Kraban

The Crowdan’s ventilated facade device

Within ventilated facade construction systems, the building wall, thermal insulation, air gap, and protective screen are the layers that comprise the structure. Because layers of various materials are arranged to lower their coefficient of heat transfer, the system operates at its best. It is composed structurally of facade slabs, an insulating layer, a supporting frame, and auxiliary components.

The Craban’s ventilated facade system is installed gradually:

  • Installation of construction forests.
  • Facades marking according to design documentation.
  • Installation of brackets. These are the main elements that ensure reliable fixing of the structure on the basis of special anchors. Their type, diameter and depth of installation depend on the material of the wall and pulling out the load. The dimensions of the brackets under the ventilated facade of the Craban depend on the thickness of the insulation layer, the nature of the irregularities on the surface of the wall and are selected 55-200 mm long. To eliminate the cold bridges, gaskets with a horizontal step of 600 mm and vertical – 995 mm are installed.
  • Fastening to the brackets of other elements of the supporting structure. It consists of galvanized steel profiles of 1.2 mm thick, covered with polymer. Horizontal profiles are attached with self -cutting screws, the step and length are indicated in the project. It is impossible to fix the profiles with each other, the docking is made with gaps to compensate for deformations that occur under the influence of temperature.
  • Laying mineral slabs of non -combustible insulation. They are attached with dowels or polymer anchors.
  • The plates are tightly fitted one to the other.
  • Coating thermal insulation with a protective membrane from the wind and moisture.
  • Fixing vertical profiles on which facade slabs will be mounted. They are attached to horizontal profiles with self -cutting screws.
  • Installation of frames for openings.
  • Preparation of facing facade plates.
  • Laying plates. When installing the systems of ventilated facades of the Craban, they perform a protective and decorative function. Protect the wall of the building, the structure under the cladding, its insulation from damage and atmospheric effects. Simultaneously form an aesthetic type of building. The cladding is carried out by the facade cement-fibrous Kraban-type slabs in two types-with a colored smooth surface or under a stone crumb. Fixed to vertical profiles with steel galvanized rivets with colored heads. To prevent atmospheric moisture from getting out the slabs and profiles, you need to lay a sealing rubber tape.
  • Installation of designed decorative elements.
  • Dismantling of construction forests.
  • Cleaning the territory.

Crasnan’s facade hinged systems ensure a long service life, year-round installation, a beautiful appearance, and the development of a cozy microclimate within the building. The walls are consistently shielded from sunlight, precipitation, temperature fluctuations, and mechanical exposure. Moisture from the home is released through the air channel rather than being stored there. You can install insulation of any thickness and make up for surface irregularities on the walls by adjusting the brackets. Furthermore, each year, ventilated facades result in noticeable energy and cost savings.

The subsystem includes the following elements:

Fixing bracket part using the facade dowel is attached to the wall. The bracket is made of galvanized steel 2 mm thick. Provides reliable profile mount.
Sealing (thermal explosion) of the prevention of corrosion metallavlavmontakontakontact -re -launch brackets -antistane.
The fastener of this part is attached to the bracket using metal screws or exhaust rivets. The profile is made of galvanized steel with a thickness of 1.2 or 1.5 mm.
Facade dowel with a screw is designed for fastening fasteners.

Only with knowledge of the characteristics of a specific object and the condition of the surrounding structures can an exact computation be performed.

Types of hinged ventilated facades of Craban

There are three variations of the Krasan’s hinged ventilated facade, depending on where the main profiles are located:

  • Vertical. It is used in mounting and insulation facade systems, which are lined with siding, a profile leaf, facade cassettes, panels or porcelain tiles.
  • Horizontal. Used in systems for installation and insulation of facades with lining with liner panels or a profile sheet.
  • Cross. This arrangement of profiles is convenient for insulation and installation systems, when the cladding is conducted by porcelain tiles or facade cassettes.

U-shaped subsystem, Self-Rabula, and Hidden Klyammer

Three varieties of hinged ventilated facades, which are fixed in the interstory ceilings, U-shaped, and L-shaped, are examples of contemporary designs for Craban.

The following are some benefits of the CRPA’s L-shaped system:

  • Significant strength due to geometry with the minimum possible metal consumption.
  • High level of technological and speed of installation work. This is achieved by the use of adjustable brackets, the size of which will depend on the thickness of the heat insulator and curvature of the surface of the wall. They can be 110 mm, 150 mm and 210 mm long.

The following are benefits of the U-shaped Craban system:

  • Metal consumption, smaller than in the L-shaped system. Due to this, the costs of installing a hinged facade are reduced.
  • Greater strength achieved by the presence of four ribs of stiffness.
  • The use of U-shaped brackets of different sizes makes it possible to adjust the curvature of the walls. Typically, the dimensions of the brackets are 100 mm, 200 mm and 300 mm, with adjustment, respectively, 50 mm, 100 mm and 150 mm, respectively.

L-shaped subsystem, Self-Rabula, and Hidden Klyammer

Benefits of the interstory ceiling-mounted profiles subsystem include:

  • High level of bearing capacity.
  • The ability to adjust the length of the departure of support brackets.
  • Vertical profiles provide intensification of the structure. This makes it possible to build spans up to four meters width without additional supports.
  • The manufacture of horizontal guides is carried out with the calculation for increased wind loads.
  • Fasten solutions allow you to mount the hinged facade even on buildings with low wall density.
  • The fastening elements are made of galvanized or stainless steel, installed in monolithic inter -story ceilings.

Types of hinged systems "Craban"

There are various versions of contemporary facade vendes available, each with unique features for installation and use. The ventifashes from Crapan come with a universal fastener type that requires much less time to install. The load-bearing walls’ curvature can be leveled and heat insulators of varying thicknesses can be used thanks to an adjustable bracket.

Systems for mounting facades

Vendes from the Craban are classified as U-shaped, L-shaped, or fixed in interstory ceilings depending on how they are fastened.

  1. The U-shaped system is small in metal consumption, which reduces installation costs. The adjustable profile of this type allows you to adjust the irregularities of the walls from 50 mm to 150 mm.
  2. The L-shaped structure is characterized by significant strength with low metal consumption and the size of adjustable fasteners of 110 mm, 150 mm and 210 mm.
  3. The design attached to the floors between the floors provides high strength, strengthening the system with vertical profiles, the use of cladding on buildings with loose walls thanks to fastening elements of stainless steel. The design is especially strong, designed for large wind loads.

The three types of vendes are identified by the orientation of the primary profile strips: cross, vertical, and horizontal.

  1. Horizontal ventifasade involves finishing with a profile sheet or linear slabs.
  2. A vertical ventilation facade is used for facing a profile sheet, siding, porcelain tile, facade cassettes.
  3. Crossroads are used for lining with porcelain tiles, facade cassettes.

Inter-story ceiling systems

Benefits of having a ventilated facade for your home:

  • simultaneous thermal insulation and decorative decoration of the building;
  • Durability of walls with ventilation facades. The walls protected from the negative impact of the sun, precipitation and wind loads will stand 50 or more years without repair;
  • the widest selection of design solutions for the external finish of the ventilation facade;
  • For all types of facing, a single type of guide profiles is used;
  • With hinged ventilated structures, both new and old buildings can be finished, making their repair;
  • All details of the facade systems that are included in the package meet the requirements for strength, resistance to fire and corrosion;
  • The multifunctionality and versatility of structures allows you to install them on stone, concrete, brick and wooden buildings.

Installation of fasteners

  • Preparation of the surface of the wall: remove the old plaster, paint, everything that can interfere with the reliable mounting of the brackets.
  • On the wall, mark the centers of holes for mounting brackets.
  • The step of installing the bracket is determined by the project and can be horizontally 350-800 mm, vertically 300-1200mm.
  • In the marked places, drill and clean the holes. Diameters, the depth of holes depend on the type of fastener.
  • Fasten the brackets to the wall in the intended places through the thermal insulation sealing.
  • The sizes of the brackets depends on the thickness of the insulation and is determined by the project.

Take note! The dowels or anchors that are used have to meet the specifications for the building’s wall material. Take note! It is not permitted to install an anchor less than 100 millimeters from the wall’s edge. Prohibited:

• when installing on brickwork walls, place dowels in the masonry seams;

• use a punch to drill holes for fasteners in hollow bricks and blocks.
